Access Points
Users, having completed onboarding and any required subscriptions, may access multiview through:
Featured event or live trays on the Homepage.
The video player on the Game Detail Page.
Multiview Configuration Flow
When viewing a live game in full screen, a “Multiview” or “Multiview” CTA appears (bottom right on Web/CTV; appropriately placed on Mobile).
Clicking the CTA opens a stream selection carousel:
Web and Connected TVs: Horizontal carousel within the player UI.
Mobile: Vertical carousel along the player’s side.
The carousel displays thumbnails and titles for the main broadcast plus all available additional streams.
Users select streams by clicking or tapping a “+” icon, which changes to a “-” icon when selected.
Users may select up to four feeds to watch simultaneously in their preferred layout.
Multiview Player Controls
Audio is enabled only for the first feed (top-left position); other feeds provide video without audio.
Each feed window features the following controls:
Title displayed at the bottom left, visible on focus or hover briefly before fading.
Audio mute/unmute icon (Web/Mobile).
Expand icon to enlarge feed to full screen with an easy return to multiview.
Connected TV users control feeds via remote:
Single tap to mute/unmute.
Double tap to expand a feed.
Navigate and switch feeds easily with remote buttons.
Managing Multiview Layouts
The feed carousel can be closed by tapping/clicking outside or via an “X” icon (back button on remotes).
Users can reopen the carousel through the “Build Multiview” CTA to add, remove, or modify feed selections.
A “Go to Main Broadcast” option is available to exit multiview and return to the single main feed screen.
Live State Preconditions
Multiview is supported only when a game/event is in a LIVE state with multiple live streams available.
If the user deselects all additional feeds, the player reverts to the single main broadcast view.
