This user guide outlines the standings functionality for tracking team and player performance in tournaments. It provides a clear understanding of how scoring works, point allocation, tie-breaking scenarios, and other essential details for users.
Overview
The standings are designed to rank teams and players based on their points accumulated throughout the tournament. Points are awarded based on their performance, with specific criteria for ties. This guide will help users effectively navigate and understand the standings.
Prerequisites
Before utilizing the standings functionality, ensure the following:
Access to the necessary data sources for fetching team and player performance metrics.
Proper configuration of the application to display standings and point calculations accurately.
How Scoring Works
1. Team Points Allocation
Points are awarded to teams based on their ranks as follows:
Team Rank | Points |
---|---|
Rank 1 | 32 points |
Rank 2 | 24 points |
Rank 3 | 16 points |
Rank 4 | 12 points |
Rank 5 | 8 points |
Rank 6 | 4 points |
Rank 7 | 2 points |
Rank 8 | 1 point |
Rank 9 to 12 | 0 points |
The team with the highest points will be ranked first, followed by others in descending order.
2. Player Points Allocation
Points are awarded to players based on their ranks as follows:
Player Rank | Points |
Rank 1 | 40 points |
Rank 2 | 30 points |
Rank 3 | 24 points |
Rank 4 | 18 points |
Rank 5 | 16 points |
Rank 6 | 14 points |
Rank 7 | 13 points |
Rank 8 | 12 points |
Rank 9 | 11 points |
Rank 10 | 10 points |
Rank 11 | 8 points |
Rank 12 | 7 points |
Rank 13 | 6 points |
Rank 14 | 5 points |
Rank 15 | 4 points |
Rank 16 | 3 points |
Rank 17 | 3 points |
Rank 18 | 2 points |
Rank 19 | 2 points |
Rank 20 | 2 points |
Rank 21 | 1 point |
Rank 22 | 1 point |
Rank 23 | 1 point |
Rank 24 | 1 point |
Rank 25+ | 0 points |
Only the top 24 ranked players will receive points. Players ranked 25th or below will not earn any points for that tournament.
Player Tie Scenarios
In case of ties in total points, rankings are decided based on the following order:

And so on (4th, 5th, 6th, etc.)
For ties per event, the following criteria will be used in order:
Final round score

⚠️ Important NotesEnsure that all scoring and ranking criteria are clearly communicated to users for transparency.
