Audio on Game Pages

Introduction

This guide provides detailed instructions on how to use the Audio on Game Pages feature, available for both mobile apps and web browsers. It covers the functionality of playing audio feeds within the video player, allowing users to enhance their gaming experience.

Overview

The Game Audio / Radio feature allows users to listen to audio feeds while watching live games. Users can switch between video and audio playback seamlessly. This feature is available after users complete their subscription and can be accessed via the game detail page.

Prerequisites

Before using the audio feature, ensure the following:

• You have completed the onboarding flow on your mobile device or web browser.

• You have successfully subscribed or registered for the service.

• You are on the home screen or homepage of the application.

• The game you wish to listen to is currently in a LIVE state.

Steps/Instructions

For Mobile Apps

1. Access the Home Screen

• After subscription, navigate to the home screen displaying curated content in tray modules.

2. Select Game Object

• Choose a game from the LIVE Preview Tray or Schedule Tray.

3. Redirect to Game Page

• Upon selection, you will be redirected to the game detail page.

4. Playback Options

• Subscribed Users: The game playback will start automatically.

• Audio Live Feed Available: A “Listen to Radio” control will appear at the top of the video player.

5. Switch to Audio Playback

• Click on “Listen to Radio” to stop video playback and switch to audio playback.

6. Audio Player Features

• Displays game thumbnail and score.

• Click “Watch LIVE” to revert to video playback.

• Use the back icon to return to the game page, minimizing the audio player to the bottom of the screen.

7. Background Playback

• Minimize the app to continue audio playback as a widget on the home lock screen.

• Control playback (pause/play) directly from the lock screen.

For Web Browsers

1. Access the Homepage

• After subscription, navigate to the homepage displaying curated content.

2. Select Game Object

• Choose a game from the LIVE Preview Tray or Schedule Tray.

3. Redirect to Game Page

• You will be redirected to the game detail page.

4. Playback Options

• Subscribed Users: The game video playback starts automatically.

• Audio Live Feed Available: A “Listen to Radio” button will appear above the team names.

5. Switch to Audio Playback

• Click on “Listen to Radio” to stop video playback and switch to audio.

6. Audio Player Features

• Displays the event thumbnail.

• Click “Watch Live Game” to revert to video playback.

• Use navigation options to return to the previous page, minimizing the audio playback to the bottom of the screen.

⚠️ Important Notes

• Ensure your subscription is active to access the audio feature.

• The audio broadcast feed must be configured in the game object for the controls to appear.
