Update screenshots on the Roku channel

The Screenshots page lets you add images of your Direct Publisher channel that will be displayed when users click on your channel while browsing the Roku Channel Store. This enables users to preview your channel before adding it to their Roku devices and enhances the overall marketing of your channel.

Follow the instructions here: Adding screenshots

Having trouble getting screenshots of Roku app? Please take a picture of your app from your phone camera and share it with us and we will create the screenshots. You can upload a maximum of 6 screenshots.

Update screenshots on Amazon app store (for Fire TV)

If you update your app with new features, you can simply update your existing, published app in the Amazon App Store rather than create a new one. By updating your existing app (rather than creating a new one), you retain your app's customer ratings and download statistics across versions.

To update the images

  • Log in to Amazon's Developer Console.
  • Click Apps and Services.
  • Go to My Apps and select an app.
  • Go to Images and Multimedia, and click Edit at the bottom of the page.
  • Add images and click Save.
On the top right – click Submit App. The app store will be updated with images in 24-48hrs

1. Updating App Icons for Samsung and LG TVs

The following four icons are bundled within the app build itself.

  • App_Splash.png - 1920x1080 px (background of the splash screen only)
  • icon.png - 70x70 px
  • largeIcon.png - 117x117 px
  • icon-130x130.png - 130x130 px

If you want to change the icon on the splash screen or any of these built-in icons, please file a support ticket as changing them will require generating a new build for resubmission to Samsung and LG TV stores.

2. Updating icons on the TV store accounts

You can, however, self-service and update the app icons and screenshots on Samsung and LG store listing pages directly by logging on to your Samsung and LG store accounts. Users will then be able to see the updated icons although it's only on the store landing page when they search for the app on TV (these won't affect the app itself on the TV).

For Samsung TV

Log in to your Samsung Store account, then click App Images. This is the repo for the images that will display on your Samsung TV store page.
