Article summary

Define the following Features Settings (Managing Number of Connected Devices) for Subscription Plans.

If no numeric value is set for # of Connected Devices under Feature Settings on a subscription plan, the default highest number will be 20 devices.

If any user tries to connect or register a higher number than the designated number or the default highest number, the end-user will receive a DEVICE LIMIT EXCEEDED error message.

If a user has maxed out the number of devices connected and they wish to add a new device, they can go to their account user management, remove one of the devices and that will open up a slot to add the new device.

It is important to note that multiple browser instances are also treated as different devices, on a per browser login basis. If you log in on two different browsers on the same IP address, it will be counted as two devices.

It is further noted that if you log out from a device, that will also automatically remove that device from the device management list.

You cannot edit these values in the UI once the plan is created. We can help with changing them via backend but remember that the new device limits will apply only to new subscribers; existing subscribers will remain on the same limit until the next subscription renewal.

You can also remove the logged-in devices of the users from the Device Information from the Tools platform to fix end-user issues.
