Scheduled Publishing (Content)
You can schedule the publishing of any new piece of content, such as videos, articles, photo galleries, events, or audio files, for a future date and time. You can also schedule the publishing of series pages and bundles. Remember: If you want to publish new episodic content at the same time as a new (parent) series page, publish the video content first before the parent series page.
If a piece of content is scheduled for a future date, any changes made to it must meet the minimum requirements (i.e., the fields marked with a red asterisk must be completed) in order to autosave/proceed.
The PUBLISH button has this secondary aspect on the right which looks like a calendar icon:
Once you have filled out all of the minimum required fields (title, description, permalink, 16:9 image, author) of a piece of content and you are ready to schedule future publishing, click on the right side of the PUBLISH button by hovering over, and then click on the calendar icon. Select a date, click on the clock icon to set the time, and then click the Save button.
Now your PUBLISH button will read SCHEDULED and the confirmed date and time will also display.
If you want to make any changes to this scheduled publishing activity, Click on the SCHEDULED button, which will bring up the existing scheduled time and date. Click on the CLEAR button to remove that date and time. Now you can start over, and repeat the steps from scratch, to set a new future publishing schedule for that video.
If you wish to remove a future scheduled publishing action on a video and publish it on-demand sooner, clear out the schedule as described above and then click the blue PUBLISH button.
Search & programming
Important to note: Once a video or series is scheduled to publish, it will not show up in search, which also means it cannot be added to any tray/carousel/standalone player until after the video is published and live on the platform.
Scheduling language version pages
If you use language localization on your video content, by following all of the detailed steps above, the default language selection will be scheduled.
If other variations exist and the minimum requirements have been met for those other-language-version(s) to be published, they will also get scheduled for the appointed date and time. You cannot schedule a different language variation for a separate/different date and time, as the variations are linked to the default version.
If there is a local language version that you wish to hold off on scheduling (or it's minimum required fields are incomplete and will not be completed before the intended future date), you need to archive that version before scheduling publishing for the default and other language versions that are ready to go live.
The system will alert you if a required data point from one of the localized versions is missing.
