# Schedule a Plan

Overview

Set when a plan becomes available to customers and optionally when it expires.

:::tip At a Glance
Who is this for?

Monetization team members who need to control when a plan goes live or when it should stop being available.

When do I use this?

When you want to launch a plan on a future date, or set an expiration date for a limited-time plan.

What will happen?

The plan is only available to customers within the configured time window. Before the start date and after the end date, the plan cannot be purchased or accessed.

Prerequisites

  • You must be creating or editing an SVOD, TVOD, TVE, or AVOD plan.
  • This section is hidden for FREE plans.

Fields

Field Required Description
Scheduled From Yes The date and time the plan becomes available
Scheduled To No The date and time the plan expires

How It Works

  • Scheduled From sets when the plan goes live. Customers cannot purchase it before this date.
  • Scheduled To sets when the plan expires. If left empty, the plan remains available indefinitely.
  • Both fields use a date-time picker with timezone awareness.

Common Scenarios

Scenario Scheduled From Scheduled To
Launch immediately, no expiry Now Empty
Future launch, no expiry Future date Empty
Limited-time promotional plan Campaign start Campaign end
Seasonal availability Season start Season end

Expected Behavior

  • If no schedule is set, the plan is available immediately after saving.
  • The Scheduled To field is optional. Leaving it empty means the plan does not expire.
  • Dates are stored in UTC. Make sure to account for timezone differences.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • Plan not visible even though the start date has passed? → Double-check the timezone. The date may be in the future in UTC.
  • Plan still active after the end date? → Existing subscribers retain access until their current billing cycle ends. The schedule controls new purchases.
