The Monetization > Plans tab is the central place to manage your existing plans and create new ones as needed.
When you click on the +NEW PLAN tab, you will see the option to choose your monetization approach. Whether subscription (SVOD), pay-per-view (TVOD) ad-supported (AVOD), TVE or FREE, pick the model that empowers your monetization strategy and start building your plan.
Make sure your payment accounts for transactions are configured for each monetization type.
Monetization types
| Monetization model | Description |
| SVOD | Click this tab to create subscription-based plans, such monthly and yearly plans for a recurring membership fee. You can then monetize video or any other content type by attaching the plan with the content. The videos attached to SVOD plans will be locked behind a paywall.

| Advertising video-on-demand. Here you can configure ad tags in advance. SSAI ads (dynamic ads) are managed via live stream workflow. | |
| TVOD | Transactional video-on-demand (TVOD), also known as pay-per-view, offers viewers the flexibility to rent or purchase specific content instead of committing to an SVOD-based subscription. This model can be highly lucrative for certain types of content, such as live events, new movie releases, educational content and high-demand documentaries or films. |
| Free | Set up freemium plans so users can access the content without logging in or registering on your site/apps. |
Hybrid plans
| Condition | Outcome |
|---|---|
| = SVOD+FREE | Free plan takes priority. Non-subscribed free users will also have access to this SVOD content. |
| = TVOD+FREE | Free plan takes priority, Free users will also have access to TVOD content. |
| = TVE+FREE | Free takes priority and TVE is ignored. |
| = SVOD+AVOD | On an SVOD plan, ad breaks will occur if you've opted-in for ads on the SVOD plan configuration page. Registered but non-subscribed users will see ad breaks while streaming content. |
= TVOD+AVOD | TVOD and ads will play if the "Include ads" option is enabled for the given TVOD plan. |
| = TVE+AVOD | TVE and ads will play. For registered but non-subscribed users, ad breaks will be incorporated instead of providing uninterrupted viewing experiences. |
| = AVOD+FREE+SVOD+TVOD | Attaching all models to a content object is impractical and redundant. |
TVE as a content model
Create TVE plans to enable users to watch your content within the experience of a TV network. ViewLift currently offers integration with TV via Adobe Pass or Verimatrix authentication.
To enable TVE Settings, go to AppCMS > Settings > TVE Settings > Verimatrix / Adobe Pass > Resource Id (your website(s)). TVE content will play for TVE logged-in users where the Resource Id matches with the TV provider's Platform Id.
