Learn how to upload design assets under the LOGOS & ICONS module in the AppCMS.
Things to note before uploading images
Apps have specific technical, content, and design guidelines, so take your time crafting your design assets.
Screenshots
- Use actual screenshots for each platform. Some stores, like Apple, can reject your build if they see stretched or modified images.
- Any text on the image should be visible.
Brand Logo & Icons
- Use high-resolution images: Both your brand logo and app icon should be high-resolution (e.g., PNG format with transparent background) to look sharp on various devices and screen sizes.
- Follow size and format specifications: Each app store has specific size and format requirements for brand logos and app icons.
- Please use PNG format and replace spaces in filenames with underscores or hyphens.
- Design for simplicity and clarity: Your icon should be recognizable at small sizes and easily distinguishable from other apps. Avoid overly complex designs or excessive text.
If you need help with any assets that need to be created, your Project Manager can facilitate a conversation between you and ViewLift's Product/Design team. We'll also share our Tools Image Design Guide for your reference. Once the images are uploaded, please share the image names with us, and we will generate new builds.
LOGOS & ICONS
Upload your logo and icon images in the Logos and Icons section according to the guidelines specified by the app stores.
Here's a short clip to learn how to upload your logos and icons into the ViewLift system. Remember to click the SAVE button to lock in your changes.
Testing the apps
Uploading logos and icons in the Brand section does not automatically reflect those changes in the apps. A new build has to be pushed to the app stores. Apps won't be submitted to app stores before your approval.
App Store Submission
To upload your app builds for testing and publishing, our app teams may need temporary access to your app stores' developer dashboards. Upon your approval, we will submit your app builds to the mobile and OTT application stores for review
Review times are fast for most platforms, usually a few hours to a few days. Roku can take about a week to ten days.
