Article summary

If your apps and website support Facebook signup for users, then you must provide a “Data Deletion Callback URL” in your Facebook for Developers portal, according to the Facebook policy General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Note:
Please contact ViewLift Support to get the Data Deletion Callback URL for your app.

To add the callback API for data deletion:

  1. From your app's Facebook Developers Login, go to App Dashboard > Settings > Basic page.

  2. In the User Data Deletion field on the Basic page, select Data Deletion Callback URL, and provide the callback URL in the text field.
Facebook calls this API endpoint when users who have signed up on your app via Facebook want to remove your app and related data from their account.
  3.  Users can remove the app by way of Facebook's Apps and Websites settings page, and then in the View Removed App and Websites section, click your app and request that their data be deleted. Learn more about data deletion.
