About Plan Groups

A Plan Group enables you to bundle together different plans. For example, a user might want to subscribe to a plan that gives them access to live sports and a plan that gives them access to on-demand content. With plan groups, they can subscribe to both plans in one group and only have to pay for one plan.

To create a new plan group, log into TOOLS, go to the Monetization section and then from the secondary menu, click on the Plan Groups tab. Click on the + NEW PLAN GROUP key:

Once you click on the key, you will find the template to create a Plan Group:

Fields Description:
Name: Input the name of the plan group. This is an internal field and will be used for the search when we associate this plan group with content.

Description: Input the description for the plan group. This is an internal field, please create something that works for your internal tracking purposes.

Group Plans: Select plans which you need as a part of this plan group. You can add as many plans as you want to. You can search for a plan using the search field. You can select/deselect the listed plans using the select All checkbox.

Note: Plan group can only have SVOD plans.

Once you have set all the details of your plan group, click the blue save button in the upper right corner.

Link Plan Group to content
Procedures for linking a plan group to a video/series are identical to how it is done for the SVOD plan. You can associate more than one plan group with a video/series, in the same manner, that this functionality works for SVOD plans.

Propagation
On adding a plan group at the series level, the same plan group will be propagated down to all episodes.

User Entitlement
End-users will be able to access content if subscribed to any plan of plan-group associated with the content.
