Asset Image Management and Specs
In the main navigation, click on Content. By default, you will see the main Library section.
Hit the dropdown (arrow) icon of any asset to view the preview setting for that asset. Click on the Manage Images button to manage and view all images related to the asset.
Or, open a content object page, and click the Manage Images module. Drag and drop your image files directly into the designated upload area, or click on an image placeholder and browse your computer to select the specific image you want to upload.
We encourage using custom creative assets. Please ensure your images are resized to the specified dimensions before upload. Kindly note that image cropping functionality is not available within Tools. This applies to all image uploads across the platform.
Upload your content thumbnails in the following image aspect ratios, and close.
Image aspect ratio and (recommended image resolution) | Description |
---|---|
32:9 OTT DL (3840 x 1080) | The 32:9 aspect ratio is double that of a 16:9 landscape image. This ratio is equivalent to putting two standard 16:9 images side by side. Video thumbnails to be displayed on carousels and OTT platforms should have images in a 32:9 format. |
16:9 Landscape (1920 x 1080) | 16:9 ratio image is the most common aspect ratio for video thumbnails. A black placeholder image is auto-generated on every new video which you can delete. It serves as a dummy thumbnail. Note: The CMS also extracts 16:9 images from the first frame of your video during encoding. Just flip the Search Images for this video only switch and type in the original permalink of the object. This works only for Video and Episodic content. |
3:4 Poster (1070 x 1585) | We recommend a resolution of 1070 X 1585 pixels. |
9:16 Portrait (1080 X 1920) | Inverse to 16:9 images, these thumbnail tiles of a video are presented on a portrait tray. |
1:1 | Popular image ratio for audio-only objects (such as podcasts or music), but also supported for VOD / Series trays. A 1:1 square image is also used on Personalization trays. Each category needs a 1:1 square image to represent it. Category images are added from Content > ADMIN > CATEGORY. |
To delete a thumbnail, click the Bin icon on it.
