Article Template Page

The Article Detail module is the content component that renders the overall layout and visual framework for the Article content type. You must create an Article Template Page and nest the Article Detail module within the template page to load articles. Our Support team will create the template pages for you, or you can self-service by learning how to set up an Article Template Page.

Create an Article Template Page

You can create multiple templates per content type, but only one can be set as the default template. For example, you can create a secondary article template, say, /article-v2, but /article could be the default template.

Enable Article Hardwall

Enable the Article Hardwall toggle to limit access to your articles, requiring a subscription to read the full story. The approach is to reveal the first paragraph of the article initially. When users attempt to access the full story, the subscription CTA is displayed, prompting users to subscribe or log in to continue reading the article. 
To enable the article preview feature, turn on the Enable Article Preview toggle in the Article module settings and publish the page.

Article Hardwall Scenarios 

1. Disabled: All users (guests, unsubscribed, and subscribed) can access the complete article.
   
   
2. Enabled with Preview:
   - Guests & Unsubscribed: See a preview (excerpt) of the article content and a paywall (visual barrier).
   - Subscribed: Can view the full article.
   
   
3. Enabled without Preview:
   - Guests & Unsubscribed: Only see the hardwall without any preview text.
   - Subscribed: Still have access to the full article.

Article Detail Module Settings

Screen element	Description
Ad Tag	Use this field to place an Ad Tag URL to display ads within the article pages.
Infinite Scroll	Apply lazy loading to display articles progressively.
Enable Article Preview	Show article preview.
Title Alignment	Align the article title to Left, Center, Justified, or Right.
Body Alignment	Align the article's body text to  Left, Center, Justified, or Right.
Enable Custom Style	If you want to set a custom background color for the Hardwall CTA in the Article preview.
