Q. How can I access Google Analytics on the Dashboard 360 landing page?

Make sure your email address has access to the GA account and property that you want to view. Then, click on the yellow Access Google Analytics button and sign in with the Gmail account that has permission to view your company's GA data. Once you click on it and sign in, you will be on the below screen. Then click Advanced > Go to ViewLift Dashboard (unsafe) and click Allow for permissions. Note that only the Total Page Views and the Top Page Views metrics are fetched from GA in the Dashboard page. To drill down to more reports, please use your GA4 and Firebase properties.

Q. If I watch an episode on the website, and then later that day another on Roku, am I counted as 1 Active User for the day?
For the same logged-in user, it will be counted as one user. For non-logged-in users, it will be counted as 2 users.

Q. If I minimize my tab and just listen to an episode, is the duration still firing?
Yes.

Q. Do I need to be actively engaged (i.e. operating my mouse or keyboard) for website duration to count, or can I be a passive viewer?
No. Passive viewing will count in events.

Q. Is there a difference between Play Duration (for Play Duration per Active User under Video Engagement) and Total Stream Duration (under Content)?
Total duration shows the total of every single play on platforms including now-deactivated users (who played the content while they were active). Play Duration per user accounts only for average play for an active user. See Top Content for more information.

Q. Can we separate OTT, such as Roku, by device: Smart TV, streaming box, stick?
Yes, all are registered as different platforms on reports.

Q. How can we obtain the installation count of our app across all platforms?

To know the total number of downloads for your apps, you need to log in to the respective app stores. You can also integrate with a user engagement app or use our BULK API to get a cumulative count.

For iOS (App Store)

  1. From the App Store Connect, in the dashboard, navigate to the "Sales and Trends" section.
  2. Under "Sales and Trends," click on "Units."
  3. Select the desired date range, such as "Lifetime," to view all installs. Learn more here.

For Android (Google Play Store)

To find the number of installs on Android,  go to the "Statistics" page in the Google Play Store console. Learn more.

For Roku

For Amazon Fire TV

Log in to your AmazonDeveloper console and click on Reporting.

Q. Under Top Content, what is the difference between Avg. Video Run-Time and Avg. Play Duration? It looks like the video run time is the length of the video.
Yes, video run time is the length of the video. See Top Content for more information.

Q. How is the taxonomy determined for Genre, and why do some have blanks?
Genres are the categories defined for each content. Blank points to the videos which do not have any category.

Q. What is a Dropped Stream?
At any time during the video playback if an invalid segment (unknown error) is encountered, then immediately the "dropped Stream" event is triggered.
